Note: The public comment period is now closed.
The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), in partnership with the Office of the California Surgeon General (CA-OSG), released for public comment a draft ACEs Aware Trauma-Informed Network of Care Roadmap. This is an important part of a first-in-the nation statewide effort to train providers on how to screen patients for Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
The Roadmap will serve as a guide for health care providers, social service agencies, and community-based organizations by providing practical steps to help grow cross-sector networks of care that support children, adults, and families in effectively mitigating the impact of ACEs and toxic stress.
The deadline for public comment on the draft Roadmap is January 15, 2021. Comments can be submitted using this survey: www.surveymonkey.com/r/PublicComment-NoCRoadmap.
